One night President Obama and his wife Michelle decided to do something out of routine and go for a casual dinner at a restaurant that wasn’t too luxurious. When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the President’s secret service if he could please speak to the First Lady in private. They obliged and Michelle had a conversation with the owner. Following this conversation President Obama asked
Michelle, why was he so interested in talking to you. She mentioned that in her teenage years, he had been madly in love with her. President Obama then said, “so if you had married him, you would now be the owner of this lovely restaurant”, to which Michelle responded, “no, if I had married him, he would now be the President.”

Hi all,

As mentioned in my previous postings, I shared with you all that I was looking to fast for 21days on a mixture of juicing and water (basically No-solids).

I have been really excited about being apart of a growing community of fasting professionals. However the day before the fast begins I am in a place of mourning. It is becoming more and more apparent, that this fast for me is not just about fasting from solids. Its seems this journey is going to take me further away from a majority of the familiar comforts.

It may not help that I am in the process of packing – which has resulted in me saying “Stuff it, where are the bin liners? off to the skip we go!” I am moving away, to move into a new home in new surroundings. Maybe I am overwhelmed by all the changes I am embarking on , maybe apart of me is grieving over the loss of self.

Wow its a bit deep for a Saturday night, however this is how I am feeling. Amongst all the conflicting emotional turmoil. The story I am choosing to tell myself, is that this experience is going to be the making of me. I am already attracting sensational being into my inner circle. There is a love that is growing within me, that I am about to give birth to. I am feeling truly blessed. The most high will never let me fall!!

Angel is a 19 year old who has the passion for becoming a successful model. I had the pleasure of meeting Angel on the evening of 13th January 2010. Angel has the faith and trust in life like no other person I have so far met.

I met Angel on the way home from work on a bus. I sat down put on my MP3 Player, looking forward to going home and resting in the warmth. Angel was sat facing me, she kept asking the guy beside me “is this was the bus going to London Bridge?” and “what time is it”. The guy didn’t pay her any attention and Angel seemed to be on the verge of tears.

I began to strike up a conversation with her. She told me that she was lost and her phone was dead and had been trying to get in touch with her uncle. etc etc, I decided to lend her my phone so that she could make a call.

Whilst she was on the phone, I felt this strong pull. The kind of pull or gut feeling that we normally choose switch off from or ignore…the one where u know really you should do or say something, but begin to rationalize it away in your head and realize it possibly could be a bigger responsibility and burden than you have the resources and ability to deliver

I intuitively knew that some of what she was saying was half truths and it seemed to be more about not wanting the people she had left where she was out of fear. After her calls she gave me my phone back, I felt her energies of worry loss, suicide, babies, freedom, insecure, regret and anguish…

I put my phone back in my bag, put on my MP3 Player trying to relax again, but those feeling just kept going on and on and coming back…. just as I was about to get off the bus I asked her “Is there anything I can do for you?” she replied “I just want someone to talk to” Now I’m sure in a normal persons head that means having a coffee in Starbucks. Nope to me that entailed me inviting her into my home….(does that make me ab-normal?)

At my home she spoke to me about her family and the abuse she suffered, she told me that she was forced into having sex (she was pregnant as a result I’m not sure, will she keep the baby I’m not sure) she spoke of mental abuse…she spoke of having a better life for herself…dreams of being a model

I started making calls to women refuges/hostels the same night. The following morning…lunchtime and afternoon…I had no joy. Angel had stayed with me a night and day. My random act of kindness ended up being an emotional one…the organizations that i called couldn’t believe what i had just done……(does that make me ab-normal?)

However as much as they wanted to help and assist Angel and me, they were no places or rooms available. It was getting late and my faith was wearing thin. We had traveled all over London…I knew I may have needed to tell Angel that she would have to go on her way as I had done all that I could and had other commitments, How would she cope? Where would she go? Would she kill herself as she had been threatening earlier? as much as I told myself “she’s not my responsibility”…the sicker I became

I sat and i prayed with the little energy and reserves I had left, then began to make some more calls, just as i was about to give up we had struck gold Angel received a place at women refugee
She was saved…for now.

What would you have done???
followed your head and ignored her, gave her some money, food and wish her all the best and said a prayer for her or opened up your home to her???

(Remember rewards for acts of faith normally occur at the 11th hour, if they occurred at the 1st minute why need to have faith?)

Follow your heart; do as much as possible, treat other how you would have wished to be treated…unconditionally after all Love is not just a word it’s a verb. “God is a verb” R. Buckminster. Love like God is an action verb,

Follow your head and heart; do as much as you can but with the notion that you are called to do your best nothing more or nothing less. The rest is someone else’s responsibility namely God. Psalm 82:6 says “I have said, Ye are gods” so ask yourself today and tomorrow what am I doing and what will I be doing?

This experience and my encounter with Angel gave me the inspiration. “Head to Heart” after all life is about as Angel reminded me having a dream bigger than yourself and working towards achieving it, with the right support and people around us we can achieve anything.

Serenity have you seen her?

How her name caresses and touches my core

She resides in a timeless place where there is no beginning middle or end

Where love and hate is a combined force

Where heaven and hell are untouchable locations

Its isn’t a place for the faint hearted nor a place where mankind can get to

Serenity is amongst the clouds on a stormy night

She emerges and on ever thunder clap

Finds her lost souls in the black pit of the night

When the lightning strikes it is serenity working her charms to assist those in need?

Serenity I have seen her she came to me in a dream

And raptures my soul and calmed my inner soul

She came and gave me a message of ‘love and well being’

Though she never said a word she came to me at a time of moan

She laid on me and cradled me from behind

As if to nurture my pain away

Serenity placed her hand beside mine and mine on top of hers

Our fingers interlocked an intimacy shared

Once clasped she transported me to places I’d only dreamt about

Felt things I could have only imagined

At that vital moment we were one as a combined force

Fighting the negativity and doubt that was entrapped in my mind

Serenity kept me safe; she was the balance I longed for

And important ingredient that was needed towards my healing process

We conquered past and present relationships on all levels

Chipped away the vast masses of negativity and self doubt

The mountains of self destructions the piles of regret and fear

We travelled to the end of the world and back again -could that be so?

Serenity gave me a box -a spectrum emerged with so many vibrant colours beaming out

The box represented my mind and the spectrum represented the life that lies within me

For every colour has its own its own meaning never limited just free flowing and glorious

Assisted me in tearing down worlds that’s enslaved me and stopped my personal growth

And has now allowed me to break free from the constraints that held me back

Serenity – everything and anything I need I now know lies within me

And not in the hands of another.

The signs light the way for me and act as a constant reminder

So next time the sky opens up and the earth begins to shake and roars as in distress

Don’t be fearful, that’s serenity fighting for your life…

Who would have thought the place that I get my very first photo shoot done is at my birth home “Sunny Sheffield” Its was both an exciting an challenging time to be back home.

You can really see how much time has passed when you see babies grow into toddlers and toddlers into teenagers “eek” 

I haven’t changed much on the outside but over the years I have sculptured and carved the young lady I am today! I am no longer the young girl that second guesses her thoughts or feelings. I create all the opportunities that are presented before me and I have learnt to take responsibilities cause ultimately;

“I am the master of self, every experience I engage in and every opportunity that is presented to me is created by me”

That is such a powerful thing to acknowledge, and truly connect with.

This is why having my pictures taken in Sheffield is very significant. For a very long time I have not been happy with my physical self and have made many excuses for not doing certain things in my life, due to the way I look and possibly feel. Forever making excuses “When I have more money, I’ll be able to buy…”  ”Just a few more lbs weight loss, I’ll be sorted…” Looking back the day never came and I was never really satisfied.

So I did it, no fancy clothes or backgrounds it was me in-front of the Camera, it wasn’t easy to begin with but after a few home made liqueur hot chocolates I was well on my way …

Being photographed by Tamara Rogers is a sensational experience and I feel very blessed.

2012 is definitely showing the growth within me, lets celebrate confidence, change and transition within our lives daily.

Being yourself is a personal decision

Someone may allow you to be yourself doesn’t mean you will take them up on the offer. People will allow you to be yourself if they like what you are dishing out, if they don’t like it that’s where unconditional love comes in or not, allowing,discussion, compromise on both sides, grace or deciding on relationship boundaries. At the end of the day it boils down to

Is it or the person really worth the effort?            

Are my beliefs and values More important than a relationship that may go against them? Do I only want friends that don’t call me to love unconditionally? Loving unconditionally allows another to be themselves, if after that you don’t like what you see, hear or feel, then that relationship is not for ou unless your love covers over a multitude of sins

It is about compromise in the respect that someone may allow you freedom to be yourself warts and all, and in so allowing that they have some uncomfortable moments if you know that is the case you would compromise certain aspects of your behavior character out of love for the person not because you have to or are asked to but because you can take or leave that aspect of your personality and serve it up somewhere else, but your so called friend may not be so strong, fortunate or thick skinned,

The ideal compromise should be your choice made out of love for the other person. If you smoked but your partner didn’t what would you do when you wanted to light up, even though you know that they have given you freedom to do as you please?

Allowing someone to be themselves speeds up relationship development, “this is who you are I’m not here to change you but I choose not to be part of your life as I don’t think you will benefit me or I you.”

That is unconditional love also in part so what’s best and is unconditional love putting up and shutting up, or moving on?

Hey there, and welcome!

Wow… it’s finally happened, an interactive website that can transform and transition through the many faces, stages and ages of my journey through life…

I am known by many for the endless stories I share, which are in fact my life experiences (the cats out of the bag now people!). These stories have always had a way of sparking something positive within a person, whether it be to make a change in their life or empower – it’s an endless chain reaction that travels from person to person.

I have been consistently told by close friends to write my unique adventures down. Now let there be no misunderstandings, my adventures/travels could be as simple as taking an alternative route to work – the magic is serendipity, synchronicity or even Intuition and the outcome or lesson has always been life changing…

When you’re truly in-tune with who you are, you always get what you need at the right time – fact! I try and stay in constant gratitude for things good and not so good in my life. Why? Because I am definitely sure there is something far greater out there that is inspiring me to inspire others…

Hey, I’m not saying that I am the next Paulo Coelho – I’m just another walking earth angel that has been blessed with insight, foresight and a zealous energy, to impart the things that inspire me and the many lessons I have learned along this adventure we call “Life”.
